Forgive me if I laugh too loud
I don’t know how to behave
Forgive me for my random tears
they come and go in waves
Forgive me if I’m lost in a cloud
lost in thoughts of yesterday
I know it seems I’m self absorbed
but I’ve really lost my way
Memories come at the strangest times
like land mines everyday
I understand the vacant looks
you don’t know what to say
People say to move ahead
but the memories never still
Forgive me and realize
for me they never will
So, forgive me if I’m left behind
and understand the change
I hope you can love who I’ve become
it’s who I am today
